Morse’s dots and dashes changed the face of communication forever, worldwide.
Knowing the past, we take you to the summer of 2009: Rudolf H.C. Mors launches morse code®.
This new lifestyle brand re-introduces the polo shirt and is the first to draw on the full potential of this efficient and versatile garment. The morse code® vision of taking originals and molding them according to contemporary fashion standards requires a thorough search for authentic products, somewhat disconnected from their history. The result is a passionate and modern translation of a stylish classic.
frank agterberg/bca was asked to visualize the morse code® brand values into a graphic style featuring the brand logo, typeface, and stationary items. Morse code being a language stripped down to its bare essentials, we concentrated on two things: dots and dashes.
These basic elements led to a never ending list of other contrasting items: long-short, black-white, in-out, on-off, and so on, that inspired us in the various designs.
