Dutch designer Daryl van Wouw collaborated with Ford to create a unique card dress for the Ford Ka Couture model. Instead of making a dress inspired by a car, Daryl literally made a dress for the car. The leather dress is a preview of the bag collection that Daryl is launching later in the year.
The car dress was revealed to a select audience during the Amsterdam International Fashion Week. A new reveal-technique was used to uncover the car and it’s dress by sucking the silk cloth completely under the car.
The studio like setting in an old garage reinforced the bold and expressive design of both car and dress. After watching the Daryl van Wouw fashion-show, the delegates drove off with their Ford Ka and a coffee-to-go…
